Baduanjin (The Eight Pieces of Brocades) is a traditional Qigong sequence. Developed during the twelfth century by the famous army general Yueh Fei as a way to strengthen the body and balance the vital functions of the organs to support the health of his soldiers.

The sequence consists of eight individual exercises that when put together form a gentle, grounding movement practice. For centuries, practitioners have used these eight forms to balance Qi energy, align with the natural world and the elements, and support the body’s organs and meridian systems.

Although simple, these exercises have a lot to offer. The forms can be practiced as set as physical exercises, however, by involving your mind in your practice and understanding the energy flow, you will get the most benefits!

The Eight Pieces of Brocades is a sequence you can do every day! It’s good for stretching and strengthening the muscles and connective tissues around the joints, help to improve posture and alignment, promote better blood & energy circulation, and reduce stress.

This is a newly built, sleek and modern 5 bedroom chalet. The impressive living area is flooded with light and the qualities of space and light continue throughout this beautiful chalet.

‘Just wanted to say once again what a wonderful week this has been. I have learnt a lot more about Qi Gong and I feel really motivated. You and Adam made us all feel so welcome and created a wonderful and magical atmosphere. I often find it difficult to be around people but Qigong and the lovely group made it so much easier. ‘’ J.

‘The retreat was wonderful – thank you. To be honest I am still overwhelmed by the whole experience. The Qi, the mountains and animals and everyone’s warmheartedness. I feel incredibly grounded and restored and grateful to have met you, Adam and the others. Thank you both again.’’ S.

‘’You both made it a magical week. I can’t thank you enough. Qigong and new friends - not forgetting the amazing food and treats - who could possibly ask for more?’’. G
